Forlorn Keel

I took this photograph in Phuket, Thailand, while casually walking along the oceanfront. This was the only boat moored along the beach for miles in either direction, which made me wonder the story behind the boat. Did something happen to the fisherman who owned it? Why was it the only boat moored for miles on end? I whipped out my camera and snapped a quick shot before moving on, continuing to think about the story behind that lonesome vessel.
